I honestly can’t say I’ve ever been in your shoes, but I have had the exact same thoughts about other items (such as luxury watches). I wavered for a long time before spending the money on one. I don’t regret buying it, but now that I have it the excitement is definitely not what I thought it would be. It’s nice and I wear it, but the novelty wears off fast. I will probably keep it because it has appreciated in value (this isn’t super common, only for a few types of watches) and it is a very popular in demand watch that I could always sell quickly if needed. So it sits in a safe most days. But I guess my point is that be prepared for a little bit of a let down. I’m not saying you shouldn’t do it, but I’ll bet after a year or so you’ll want to sell the car.
