"The Purge" movies are actually a lot less fucked up than the purge would be in real life

The purge is an interesting concept for a movie but not at all well thought out in its execution and implementation into modern society.

My ideas:

A purge night should be limited to murder, manslaughter, and rape. Purges should be organized, and contained within designated zones. Citizens must register themselves and their weapons of choice to participate in purging and will retain anonymity through masks and code names.

All Purgers are equipped with mics and body cameras and drones fly through the sky to turn the whole night into a major televised event.

A lottery is given away each year to a lucky Purge survivor. An even bigger prize pool is given to the contestant with the highest kill count. Prizes are also given to the most impressive/creative kills. A consequence of this will be purge celebrities who make a name for themselves, become sponsored, and travel to different Purge Zones suited up with the best gear.

The nation's inmate population is cut down annually by sending a chosen percentage of convicted felons into purge zones, completely defenseless. A few might survive and gain their freedom as contracted Purge celebrities, but the vast majority will be cannon fodder and die painful deaths.

Breaking any of the Purge Commandments is strictly forbidden and will either result in imprisonment or the contestants collar siren to go off constantly, alerting the other players to the rule breaker's location and the bounty on their head. If the Rule Breaker is imprisoned, they will be forcibly re-entered into the Purge each year until death.
