Putin adds mandatory "Patriotism" course to school curriculum

Depends how you define patriotism and forced patriotism.

If it’s bullshit like “we love dear leader and will die for him no questions asked, we pledge allegiance to the flag and dear leader’s family and we’re number one in everything and all other nations are inferior to us in every way”, then no that’s not what I would call patriotism.

If it’s learning how the government works, the division of power, what a citizen’s rights and responsibilities are, learning the constitution, learning critical thought and how to detect propaganda and to stand up to oppression, learning your nation’s successes as well as failures, etc then yes that is patriotism and should absolutely be part of the curriculum in school.
