Putin warns the world not to interfere in Belarus: Russian leader tells Angela Merkel any intervention will be 'unacceptable' after EU threatens sanctions over 'rigged' elections

Russia, the EU and the US all have a history of supporting regime change, so maybe they should all stay the fuck of this one instead of tainting a popular protest movement with their own geopolitical agendas. Their meddling certainly didn't do Ukraine any favors, so maybe mind their own business for once and let the people of Belarus fight their own battles.

Putin wants to keep Belarus away from EU and NATO, even at the cost of destabilizing it militarily like he did with Ukraine. The EU and US want to push their neo-liberal policies on the country and advance the NATO encirclement of Russia while also not giving a shit about how that may harm Belorussians.

Interference from any side will just push the other to escalate and none of it will be for the benefit of Belarus.
