Putting Scalebound's cancellation in perspective.

This whole situation salts the wounds much more for me because I bought in on Xbox consoles every generation for the variety of games, but I favor RPGs.

They cancelled Fable Legends, Phantom Dust remake, and Scalebound. They killed FASA Studio. They killed Lionhead. They dropped Obsidian.

I'm expecting the next 6 months to be dead, just hype tweets about Scorpio, and a big "Here's Minecraft 2 Scorpio VR Edition powered by the cloud. Please be excited." moment at E3, while the developers of Crackdown 3 are there squirreling around, trying to hold too many nuts at the same time, juggling insane destruction physics and trying to make sense of a gameplay demo with compelling game play.

At this point I just don't care about Microsoft's marketing anymore. It's all lies. Every game they try to hawk on me gets canned. Fuck it.

I'll be happy if they start getting PC games into Play Anywhere ecosystem, or just hook profiles into Steam and Origin games. Aside from that, all the "indie" RPGs I'm interested in seem to come late to the platform, if they come at all. I'll probably just get them on Steam instead and let Xbox go.
