PWInsider - "A source at Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed to PWInsider.com today that late last week, there was an edict issued to remove MJF from all promotional spots and commercials for AEW programming going forward."

Thing is, they could at the drop of a dime change the storyline agreed upon last week. The amorphous flow of AEW storytelling allows for breakneck speed. I'm guessing it wasn't til Thursday evening or Friday morning that they knew CM Punk was injured, and they had to come up with the weird complicated "Mox faces a random battle royal winner, who then takes on Tanahashi vs Goto"(AKA most likely Mox vs Tana for the fake "interim" title) But I'm all for it. It adds so many exciting unpredictable layers to an already layered approach. If...there's even the slightest chance MJF truly has to sit home for awhile(which would be contrary to MJF being a top ratings segment draw) it would be a huge backfire. Like the weekly NWO segements in 1996 WCW Nitro, I hope they come up with something unique for keeping "post kayfabe" MJF in the spotlight.
