PYD Co-chair Shahoz Hasan: “We are the only opposition that is inside Syria with a political system on the ground and proven military power. No conference will be successful without us...”

You are the one that based your argument on this very notion that millions of people want a caliphate and are pulled towards terror

Millions and billions are not the same.

Salafist Jihadist (& islamist) ideology do not reach millions of people

They don't? So if we only count Muslim Brotherhood members... What are they? Not people? Or if you merely count the people who worship Ali Khamenei (and enough of them hold that man in higher esteem than they do the very prophet), what are those? Not people?

you are vastly overestimating such groups and their followers to make an argument against Turkey.

Oh am I? What about simply just one group: Ahrar al-Sham? Or just pick another: Hizb ut-Tahrir? Or another: The Muslim Brotherhood? Or lets say: The Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement? Or Erdogan's very own movement?

You are using whataobutism to equate that since Turkey is somehow a major player in the radicalization of millions of Muslims (false) and using this you are trying to assert that PYD should be taken seriously because Turkey does this so even if PYD accepts their PKK connections they should be taken seriously.

False in various ways

1) My point is that Turkey supports terrorists and terrorist-affiliated groups. Whether you support or oppose that is, of course, another matter. So why make this point? Well... Someone made the point that "nobody" (naturally referring to countries, and yes Turkey is a country for example) would take a group serious because they are affiliated to a terrorist organization (PKK).

2) Turkey directly backs Islamists/Jihadists. Besides that... Turkey directly feeds and radicalises people a populist Islamist twisted version of reality. Do you want to call it just "AKP" and not "Turkey" because your personal Turkey is nothing like that and you didn't even vote for AKP? Okay, understandable. But that doesn't take away from the fact that CHP and MHP contributed to AKP's power grabs and politics.

3) It was not my intention to argue that PYD should be taken seriously.

What I find sad is that you use assumptions and conclusions to make a point and when faced with protest about the nature of the assumptions that you base your defence of PYD on; you accuse the other side of outrage.

Well I naturally accuse you of outrage if you don't even react to what I said but instead fight imaginary things.

hasn't accused Erdogan/Turkey of being Salafists and Jihadists that work towards Isis-like objectives of increasing terror and Islamic State like movements across the globe by effecting millions

But: I didn't, actually. Nevertheless, Turkey supports Salafists.

Cheers
