Qatar refuses to let Nepalese workers return to attend funerals after quake

There's a lot of racism towards Arabs in the media in general, which leads to a certain bias/speculation of almost anything bad that happens in the region; "they're just shitty backward people" kind of thought. The problem stems from people generally being lazy and irrational with politics. The way people consume news nowadays is mainly things like twitter headlines; people are too ADD/busy to really care anymore. Headlines are meant to provide a shock factor for people to gain interest in reading the article (emphasis on click-bait), but since everyone is irrational with politics, that shit doesn't work anyway; they read the speculated headline and work around their personal biased views without accurate research. Consider how pissed you would be if you were Britain and some country you used to own took away something important to you like the world cup, especially considering the economic benefits you would gain from it while not being able to do anything about it. They won't lose that much money on stadiums in the long run and having a bigger budget for infrastructure would help their citizens so fucking much. It's fucking perfect for Britain to host it; it's almost necessary that they do. I would do anything as a Brit to shit on Qatar wherever possible. Learning about Qatar and their actions from the Guardian is similar to learning about the US democratic party and their actions on Fox News at this point. Like, how many of you actually read the article and looked into it? How may read the title of the thread and go "oh god again? Seriously man, fuck these guys" commence comment rage based off another cherry picked article you stumbled upon before and/or knit-picked off the bias of this specific article to rationalize your opinion while typing it out?
