Queen Elizabeth II has died, Buckingham Palace announces

Yeah, there are a few young guys here in India who just hate everything British, but the general opinion regarding the British is not at all negative. For better or for worse, a significant part of India is infact British in heritage. The language, the legal system, our militarily, government buildings are all from the British era. In modern times as well, Indians love English stars (Tom Holland, Daniel Craig, Tom Hiddleston etc.), watch English football, and aspire to go to Oxbridge for higher studies.

But this is a topic for some other day. Today is a day of mourning. Queen Elizabeth was a kind and gentle person, and also the leader of the Commonwealth of which we are a part. May her soul rest in peace, and may her leadership inspire others for times to come.
