I have an issue with putting together just because their sexual orientation match. Which I feel like a lot of media does. You have a couple of straight people who are a guy and a girl, a two gays, two lesbian they will almost always date or have sex unless they are in a relationship already or something.

I wish they didnt put kiteman and ivy together to being with. I like kiteman but he wasnt needed and didnt add on a character or comedy level that could be easily replaced. Since they did get together I wish they would have loved each other and had a healthy relationship. And I still would have wanted ivy and Harley to be endgame because I really hate this idea media like to do of the big love. You only true love one person, yeah you can like other you can even kinda love them, but actually healthily love that is only exists once.

So I would have do season 1 similar Season 2 dont have them married but healthy and theh both grow Season 3 (I think you should always plan for the next season it can lead to better story telling to me) have kiteman and ivy breakup not because they are unhealthy or Harley and ivy but because they grew together just in two different directions ivy is more open and in touch with her emotions. Kiteman realizes that he matters and he can he more than a side character and he can matter maybe change his name but just just make him more competent.

Harley in season 2 learns what love is and is focusing more on balancing selfish and selfless as season 1 she learned you have to give for your friends. Now she is learning how to balance her wants with others instead of just giving up what she wants for others. And for her to take over gotham and what its like to truly be out of jokes shadow as she over time becomes more and more popular and takes more and more control.

Harley season 3 should be playing the field more trying to fine that love she knows exist until ivy and kiteman break up about ep 4 to 6 and then her and Ivy get together but not in a way that makes harley look a rebound but because ivy and kiteman had a healthy break up that shouldn't be an issue.

This is a long game setup payoff and makes everyone look good while giving the ship that needed to happen.

Now my lgbt+ views are complicated because I think there needs to be more but it needs to be handle careful as to not make anyone looks bad. Also I think bisexual and lesbian are the easy for people to handle so other important representation gets pushed to the side and not given the same treatment. Like transgender queer and intersex and its even gay men. And it creates this of baiting and fighting because then people start add representation where isnt like shipping two straight characters and then people go no you can do that and then it's well their isnt any so I want to connect and feeling connected to in this media so I have to try and make a connection that isnt there.

TLDR I am super pro harley and ivy I just think it needs to be handle properly for the greater good of representation. Because unfortunately representation is rare and that hurts a lot of people and causes frustration. So I am putting more stock into this cartoon then I should because if it messed up then people get to hit it and say yeah but they are cheaters or something dumb like joker and harley are better.
