Question about counting recovery days

Yup. For me that type of thinking is dangerous.

Because in reality going ten days then bingeing once is not going back to square one. It doesn't take away the progress you made, and you can learn and move on from it and continue to recover.

In my warped thinking breaking my streak is 'bad' and then I feel like its ruined, so I give up.

The all or nothing thinking is my downfall. As it is with many people with BED.

It helps to remember that no one is ever going to have a clean run and never mess up. Messing up is a part of it.

For this reason I stopped counting binge free streaks. Instead I try and decrease the amount of binges in a week.

Only 2 times this week instead of 4? Awesome!
