Question about intangibles...?

Explanation by /u/wigsification It hasn't been confirmed, since 2k don't tell us what each attribute does exactly, but it seems to be a purely overall boosting attribute. Changes in this attribute have a very strong influence on a player overall, yet seems to have absolutely 0 influence on gameplay. A player with 25 intangibles will play exactly the same as an identical player with 99 intangibles with a 6+ overall difference. The attribute being located in the misc category along with potential (which has no influence on gameplay, only on player growth in MyGM/League) also suggest that this attribute has no gameplay influence. 2k uses this attribute to control the overall they want a player, boosting it to increase the overall, or reducing to keep the overall lower. The best example of this is the amethyst Harden card. People thought his performance deserved to skip a tier and become a diamond, but 2k wasn't ready for diamond moments cards yet, so they gave him Diamond/Pink Diamond level attributes but reduced his intangibles so that he remained an amethyst.
