Question about love.

There are various types of love, but when if we speak of romantic love, unfortunately, it is not a reward that we can attain through struggle. It depends on various patterns of neural activity that are inherited and learned, and also on some random factors that affect our neurotransmitters and hormones.

And it is by no means fair.

There were several notorious incarcerated serial killers who received marriage proposals from countless women through letters. Conversely, numerous renowned inventors and geniuses such as Nikola Tesla lived in solitude their entire lives.

What is really sad, our neural subsystems at a lower level don't have any inherent moral principles, and we cannot entirely regulate them with the prefrontal cortex.

And love, despite its cultural superstructure, is mainly a biological mechanism.
