I have a question about pshychiatry and meds.

Most psychiatrists don't prescribe benzodiazepines long term anymore due to people quickly becoming physically dependent and needing a higher and higher dose to feel the effects. I'm in the UK and I was on ativan on and off during a 5 month hospital stay and twice daily since I came home in March. It only take it now to stop the withdrawal symptoms and I KNOW how bad they're going to be as I've been through it before and lasted 6 weeks before trying to end my life. Any psych will prescribe seroquel and that stuff will knock you out at night and if you take 25-50mg during the day it will kill any anxiety or panic attack. I lasted over 15 years on it and only stopped it because I had an adverse reaction to it.
