You never know for sure how TAFE will handle unpaid fees. It’s there policy that once you start a course you must pay the full amount even if you don’t complete the course. I was unaware of this when I stopped my course and they asked me to pay the rest of the amount. I was not in a financial position to do that at the time so I just ignored them. They sent me an email asking for payment again after a few weeks which I also ignored. Didn’t hear anything again and when I called years later to settle what I thought was my debt they told me I had nothing to pay back.

Having said that I hear things like they have debt collectors who come to your house if you don’t pay or call you all the time. I guess it just depends which tafe the debt is with on how they will handle it.
