[Question/Advice Needed] I may be adopting a Samoyed rescued from a puppy mill soon, and I could use some advice.

Be prepared for seperation anxiety, it's what the breed is known for. Tackle it quick by associating leaving the house with treats and puzzles! Daycare if possible is great for socialization and attention. It's a great option if they'll be left alone for more than 5-6 hours. With another dog in the house it will be milder at least. Sammys are interesting dogs, very human-centric. Incorporate lots of training into your routine, rewards are generally more praise based than food based. They just really love just spending time with you, but aren't really cuddlers cause they get too hot. Opt for lots of toy time and puzzle time instead, otherwise they are prone to anxious chewing of their legs. I found crate training set our bond back by 6 months, really lost a lot of trust there. Most sammys prefer free run of the house, and potty training was actually not bad at all as they're very intelligent. The big thing is making sure everything is a game for them, hands down the happiest breed I've ever seen! I love mine more than anything, wishing you all the best!
