[Question] I can't seem to find the right guitar

Well good luck in your search.

The reason I love my KIKO is it has coil tapping that sounds the best out of all my coil splitting/tapping guitars I've got and it's so nice to play. I've got Les Pauls from the Gibson Standard Premium down to Epiphone Plus Top Pro and they're all very similar (I love them all).

I only liked Ibanez when I was younger as my guitar knowledge and experience was limited and their thin necks really appealed to my tiny hands/fingers (didn't know LPs were 24.75 vs 25.5" scale). So the first LP I played had a 50s neck and I was like yuck, that's not for me. Now one of my favorite Les Pauls is my 50s neck Traditional Les Pauls. So try not to shoehorn yourself in.

In fact, I always loved the Telecaster but every one I played in a store felt like shit. As it turns out, it was because they didn't maintain their guitars worth a fuck. I bought an American Tele on a whim and love it (and subsequently bought two Strats). That's how I ended up loving Les Pauls as well, bought a Custom Silverburst because I loved how it looked (Epiphone). 6 more Les Pauls later...

:-)
