Thank you for your encouraging reply. No, there was nothing like either of these! And I certainly only PMd her because she was actively requesting comments and PMs. No, it was just a longer kind of reminiscence than seemed right for a regular thread-comment: both about my loving the audio in question and about a memory it had triggered about my life from years ago (a memory, I realized, I'd never told anyone about.) It wasn't important, just kind of sweet.

The troubling thing was that she very abruptly retired from making audios within about 24 hours. I seriously doubt I had anything to do with that (in fact, dick pics were specifically mentioned and not in a particularly thrilled way.) But it's haunting nonetheless ... I understand that people will come and go for all sorts of reasons; I just hate the idea that behavior of some folks on GWA might actually go so far as to rob us of the presence of creators and performers we love! ... Nevertheless, I think you're right; I'll choose to take your wise advice and consider it having made her day -- just, perhaps, on a day that had a lot of other, messier, crummier stuff going on.
