Question For Any SW

Why post it directly in the ad though? Like even if you're going to take that into consideration in screening, it just seems extremely unwelcoming to post it directly in the ad. Like seeing that in a providers bio is a pretty huge turnoff to me and many other potential clients, mostly the more educated ones, even though I'm not AA - aren't they worried about that? (Also please, if you have a right to a no AA policy, so do I to a no "no AA" one)

And is it really too much to ask to at least take a look at inquiries from AA clients even if you wind up turning down 99% of them?

Like in 99% of situations I would be absolutely opposed to businesses having racial exclusions, but obviously this is a special situation since we're talking about consent, two rights are butting up against each other, and the principle of consent has to take precedent obviously. But I'm not going to say I like it, and I think the messages are tacky in the extreme.

The problem with stereotypes is not that they are totally untrue. It's that they turn into caricatures. Sophists often like to shock people with statistics like "Black men are 5x more likely to have served time in prison!!?" Well first off - they're comparing black men against all people, which is disengenous when virtually all felons of any race are men. So it's about 2.5x as many black men in prison as men of other races.

"Snicker Haw haw haw this idiot don't think it a big deal that literally all black people are literally 3x..."

That really isn't a good estimation of black men either. Because the vast majority of black men, just like all other men, have never been to prison! So like 6% of men have served time in prison, 15% of black men. So that's 94% of men that have not, 85% of black men. That's 94/85 = 1.10x as likely. 10%.

"Haw haw haw this..."

So assuming you had no screening policy and just served all men, you would be reducing your likelihood of ever encountering a former prisoner by about 1% - because on average only about 10% of men are black.

"Snicker Haw haw haw this libtards idjit don't know that if even one..."

And you should absolutely be screening anyway and rejecting anyone of any race who's been to prison or had a violent felony anyway! So in the end, we are maybe talking about fractions of 1%. If anything at all.

The types of clients you're going to get when you put a big "no AA men" in your ads are going to be different. This is going to turn off educated men of other races. The men of other races your going to get are going to be lower class, less educated, more racist, and more likely to actually be violent than other men of that race. In fact you may attract such people, your local Aryan Nation, KKK member, or T_D poster might see sex workers with No AA policies exclusively due to disapproval of race mixing. So in the end such a policy may actually be increasing, rather than decreasing, the danger that a sex worker faces.

This is the same problem that exists with virtually any other blanket racial screening policy. People of any race are in general more alike than not. But people create caricatures by fixating on that minorities over representation in some undesirable group. Which is fallacious, because you can only draw rational conclusions about a group by looking at that group as a whole, and at them exclusively. You cannot go the other way around, look at the undesirables, and then draw conclusions about the minority.

This is very basic, first page of your statistics textbook stuff. But some reason people act all astonished. They already always had their conclusion anyway.
