Depends, I guess? I'm someone who loves banter and playfulness during a session, so I suppose this could be relevant to me - but I'm also someone who likes to plan things and make sure my Lee and I are on the same page on things like rules and boundaries.

I don't want my Lees to be disobedient because, in my eyes, that means I'm doing something wrong as a Ler. But on the other hand, if they're just being a brat and refusing to safeword (which I take very seriously) just to be sassy with me, then they will undoubtedly be punished by my attacking their most ticklish spots for longer durations.

For example, in my last session, my Lee had enough wiggle room in her restraints to try and push me off the bed. I warned her not to. But she did it. This caused me to hop right back on and just go to town on her underarms for like a solid 60 seconds and she absolutely lost her mind.
