[Question] has guitar ever actually gotten girls for you?

When I was about 16 I played lead guitar with my shitty garage band (Mainly played guns n roses), and our bass player (who we'll call Bean) was texting a couple of girls constantly during the session, so my rhythm guitarist (who I will call Jack) snatched his phone and we read what he was texting them.

Bean was telling them all about how he was the lead guitarist and the band leader and basically just all around lying to impress them. (We originally had to downgrade him to bass because he would never practice guitar and completely sucked, so him pathetically lying for girls is even more worse when he is basically pretending to be me)

I sent the two girls a photo of my greasy ass friend posing with his bass and told them that he was lying and introduced ourselves, then we had him record and send us playing some hot fire Nightrain (1:58) because it also had the rhythm solo too, and I didn't want to steal all the thunder.

It took them a minute to respond, but you could feel them thinking what to say, and when they texted back it devastated Bean. "..." "Are they single?"

Jack and I got their numbers and we went out for some weird form of double date, it was fun while it lasted, but both were super shallow and neither relationship lasted very long anyway.

Good time, but trying to pick up girls by using a guitar can be a recipe for disaster (especially by means of humiliating your bassist and impressing them yourselves). Interests and hobbies are great to show personality and passion but you shouldn't have to cram it down their throats and use it as a tool to get a girl's number.
