Question: Is Kora actually worth watching?

Yakone and his bloodbending son's are an exception, not rewriting the rule; they're freaks like Combustion Man. There is an entire episode acknowledging why this is an extremely unique and special trait of their's.

Combustion Man doesn't break or rewrite rules. Firebending is just controlling your own chi to create fire. Some people being able to concentrate their Chi to create these explosion beams is a stretch but it doesn't break or rewrite any rules because it's not been stated before why it couldn't be done.

LoK bloodbending is more like some firebender guys being able to permanently access Sozins Comets levels of bending power, "because they're special". It has been specifically stated bloodbending can "only be done at a full moon". I'd be fine if it was doable at night only or if it was weakened but it is stronger in LoK AND it's in broad daylight. That is a direct contradiction to previously stated terms, no way how you spin it.

Similarly, Iroh tells us that it takes an undivided and peaceful mind to be able to create lightning from one's fingertip, but Azula loses her marbles, goes crazy, and can still bend lightning.

Yeah and that's complete bullshit too. I'm 100% in the camp that Azula should never have been able to keep bending lightning in the finale and I'm baffled by nobody else getting upset over this. It literally contradicts everything we've known about lightningbending and why Zuko couldn't do it. Complete BS.

2). Its both. It was a personality issue for Aang in "Bitter Work" just like Korra's airbending was a personality issue for her. Aang was spineless and timid, and he had to overcome these mental, personality issues, before he could understand the element

They literally stated it that way, LoK retconned it. That's just how it is.
