[question] NBA FanDuel: how does everybody go about limiting their player pools? Which categories do you base it off of? On a 12+ team night, how many players do you normally have in the pool?

Funny, I have the opposite problem.

When it's a deep pool their is always a set of obvious pieces I use foundationally.

On a short slate, those foundation pieces will be very limited and way too chalky as a result so that's really when for me it becomes much more about gaming the system.

Upcoming slate has just 3 games and few of the big time players. So you know going into which guys are going to be heavily owned. Pretty much 100% of lineups will have some combo of LeBron/Simmons/Embiid and to a slightly lesser extent Lilliard/Wall and the ones that don't are using ownership beyond reason.

So then it becomes really trying to figure out which of those won't perform and that's close to impossible because those guys always perform. This is when for me it just becomes gambling.

I just sit out these slates or put in a minimum amount.
