A question regarding abortion

  1. It would be both cruel and callous to force a women to give birth to a child she did not consent to. Forcing a women to give birth to a child conceived in her own rape is an unbearable mental strain and is psychological scarring.

  2. There is no good reason to proceed with a pregnancy when the woman’s life is in serious danger. Potential life should not be more valued then actual life. To force someone to give up their right to live and right to self-defense during pregnancy would be violation of basic human rights.

  3. Whatever option the mother thinks is best. If the mother chooses not to abort the child, but cannot raise it, I think ensuring a basic income would be a good idea.

  4. Nothing. That is not something you bring up. The social stigma alone is enough to mentally strain a person and even if they are not embarrassed or similar, it is just not the thing to bring up in conversation.

  5. No. I think, unless you have some sort of background in counseling, you should be very conservative on what advice you give. Shaming or embarrassing vulnerable people is not okay. If they ask you for advice, you need to focus on their worries and their reasons. This is neither your decision, nor your body.
