Should I get the AMEX Gold Card

Currently have the Discover It, BC Everyday, and the Cash Magnet. Credit Karma showing FICO around 740

About me: College student with a part time job. Graduating this May, then either moving home or getting an apartment. Spending will most likely stay exactly the same (at least with the categories this card includes) Planning on taking an international trip this year which will cost around $1800 in airfare. Bulk of my spending is at the grocery and restaurants, about $450 a month combined for both categories. Don’t see having a hard time using the $120 meal credit. From my flight, I anticipate using the $100 airline fee credit.

Current welcome bonus offered to me is spend $2000 in the first 3 months and get 50,000 points.

I want this card, and from doing the rough math, I come out ahead of the rewards in cashback I would receive from my current three cards this upcoming year assuming I maintain current spending patterns (not even counting the welcome bonus). The idea of paying for a credit card as a student is holding me back.

It’s worth adding that a $250 expense right now wouldn’t be the most comfortable thing right now and the money might be better spent going towards the flight, which will be in December. I fear the flight might go up in price in the meanwhile while I earn the welcome bonus.
