Question Time audience member alleges that anti Diane Abbott sentiment was deliberately whipped up among the audience prior to filming.

Oh I see, so racist attitudes are only important if you're expressing them on Question Time.

Do you understand the difference between the many racist slurs and insinuations made over a long period by a man of privilege who has never had to overcome any societal challenges, compared with a woman from a historically abused community for whom you have chosen to latch onto one single comment she made? I'm white, but also part of a minority that has suffered historically (often due to the actions of white Europeans) and I can understand where she is coming from. I say that despite thinking she's a pretty useless MP. I'm not a fan of her at all.

The single comment she has made isn't even on par with the abuse directed at her over Twitter almost daily. Never mind the fact that she actually does have a valid point:

Examples include Britain in India and Nigeria, Germany in Rwanda and the whole Sykes Picot mess. Now, as I've already implied, white people are obviously not a single homogenous group but there are many examples of groups of white people deliberately practicing divide and rule in order to dominate other groups.

It's not a fun part of history to look at, but it did happen. To ignore it and suggest the idea that it can be pointed out is the 'racist' part is either disingenuous or deliberately misleading and should only be viewed as a deliberate attempt to redirect the discussion.
