I’d like to know more about the technical variances between the two codecs in their respective sound quality. I’ve done some reading, but having the separate details paraphrased in conjunction would help me better understand. Based off the screenshots, which file would sound better to your knowledge? It seems confusing, because AC3 is technically DD, but with a streaming bitrate of 384, while ec3 is DD+, but streaming at a lower bitrate of 256.

For reference I only have a 5.1.4 soundbar system; VIZIO Elevate. Streaming device is a ’21 ATV 4K.

I came here hoping to get some information, so hopefully commenters can refrain from ripping into me about my setup, we don’t all have the means or the living space to afford setups like some or many of you on here may have.
