Question: Would you subscribe to a career counselor?

I absolutely agree, and let's be honest... there are employers and companies out there who discriminate... and they're good at concealing it, too. "Over qualified" , "wrong skillset", etc. The most common issue I hear from my candidates is related to age discrimination. There are favorable incentives for employers who hire skilled experts, and the business would be great at helping employers realize those incentives.

On the flipside, there may be times when candidates have to be turned away for services, just like turning away employers. If an employer wants a Director of HR in 24 hrs, thanks but no thanks. Similarly, if a candidate is seeking an executive-level position without a high school diploma, thanks but no thanks.
