Question. Your age/income/super balance?

I got fucked over by a corrupt business for 7 years with lies and payslips stipulating its being paid. Eventually they just went insolvent and 10+ of us couldn’t do much due to the owner having solid ties with bikies, who ended up ironically flogging the fuck out of him lol. I lost 10s of thousands in super, I wasn’t the only employee who lost a shitload too. I’ve been through hell with the cunts it was honestly like a movie. Basically you name it the business was involved with it. They were that dodgy they liquidated about 3 times but kept buying back in and changing the name so we worked as if it was normal, I had a decent pay and company car and didn’t think much of the super being younger. I didn’t know really any better.

I’ll cop it sweet that I lost X amount which still pisses me off but that said the government is useless for not taking it further. These pricks could basically pay less than bare minimum for super and still trade. As Long as your bas’s are paid who cares right? So many dodgy employers could of got away with this bullshit if you don’t check it.

Thankfully now it’s more strict with PAYG and Payroller being enforced but it ain’t good enough. People that have lost thousands like myself will never receive that money we we’re entitled too and the interest compounded on top.

So how I see it, dodgy employers liquidate and pay off the liquidators at a third of what’s actually owed and pay like $500 open a pty ltd company trade under a different name then rinse and repeat. As Long as you got the clientele to go into business under the new name.

Good news is 2 years later i work for myself and so far I’m starting to get a solid cash flow each month and the road ahead looks good. I have a few employees under me already, I bought an investment property when I was 20 in tas and I’m about to buy in again. But I’ll back myself and I’m going to get out there and set that bar high and earn 100x more than I ever did working for them cunts. Life can be shit. But as long as we get back up and brush the dust off and try again that’s all that matters.
