Questions about my Aloe Vera

Question 1: It would be better if the soil weren't packed super tight as it could impede drainage. But the fact that its not standing up on its own could mean it doesn't have a well developed root system which could also be the cause of you not seeing any growth. It will just depend on your soil weather it is packed to tight. If it seems to still drain well then it's probably ok. You can also add a thin top layer of pumice or lava rock to prop it up, or add it in the soil so the roots have a more solid medium to latch on to.

  1. That's not a pup but rather a leaf of the main plant. A pup is a baby offshoot that will develop its own separate root system which you could detach eventually. I'm not sure why it is leaning all the way over.. Its' not necessarily bad though and doesn't mean it is unhealthy.

  2. The brown tips have happened to my aloes to and I honestly don't know if it's caused by too much heat, lack of water, or sunburn. I could't tell you--but the plant is still ok.

  3. The dent is a little strange, mine have never done that. It will still be ok and will just remain like that. The dent could fill in over time too.

If it's not growing much it could mean it's not getting enough light. But overall it looks healthy and you shouldn't worry about anything.
