I've worked at plenty of upscale (and not so upscale) establishments where a customer may place their hands on my hips or waist while I dance. I mentioned I don't perform full service so I'm not sure why you caught a tone here. I do know a ton of clubs in the U.S. where you can't touch or be too close to the dancer. I don't know how I'd make substantial money in an establishment like this but then again I've never tried.

"Curvy or just large?": Little of both but more of the first. I'm not thin but I'm not fat. It's been working for me.

Also it seems like from what you mentioned, club owners call the shots more than I'm used to. As an independent contractor, I decide how to conduct myself with a customer and I'm definitely allowed to turn someone down if they're pushing my boundaries. But for the most part, the house rules are reasonable and give us a decent amount of freedom in terms of how we conduct business.
