The Questions Thread 08/20/22

Are there multiple layers of leather inside the toebox of “unlined” White’s roughout boots? I noticed the inside of the top of my right boot’s toebox has wrinkly/loose leather that i can move around with my fingers where the top of my toes hit inside the toe box’s interior top. I can’t feel it with the boot on, just happened to be poking around in there and noticed it. The left boot feels taut and firm from the inside.

They both look structurally the same from the outside so i’m just curious if there’s just some sort of thin leather layer that’s separated or if it’s something I should be concerned about. These are my first pair of Whites, and my first pair of boots in roughout leather, and I’m just looking for some peace of mind. Thanks!
