Quick, but probably dumb question...

I don’t know what Zevia is, but I think that a lot of the sweeteners in diet soda, like aspartame, will trigger an insulin surge. So, even though it doesn’t result in calories or glucose production, the insulin will make you feel hungry and inhibit the release of fats from adipose tissue.

When I started IF, I switched to seltzer. Embarrassing amounts of seltzer. That way I still got the bubbles that I used to love about diet soda. Also, with keto, I’ve found that the sweeter things that used to taste great now taste ungodly sweet and barely palatable. Maybe avoiding them will help reduce cravings?
