You just seem really concerned about your internet image and not so much actually having that discussion you were claiming to be looking for, else you would have asked why you were wrong instead of telling me I was wrong.

If you notice, in the other thread I've been participating in, the other poster didn't start out with an angry, confrontational tone. I'll be the first to admit I've got a short temper. The way you chose to start your conversation with me was "you're not making a lick of sense," followed by you demanding I give you source after source to document something you personally hadn't seen. After I'd given you said sources, you said "oh well you're wrong anyway." I tried to explain why I thought I had a legitimate point, and again, you told me I was on a "crusade," continuing to belittle me.

I'm not sure how you think it's fine to just spread incorrect information and then get angry when you're told you're wrong is OKAY, but that could be what 'freedom' means I guess.

When did I say anything about freedom? I'm saying that the way you've been replying to me is incredibly antagonistic, and regardless of right or wrong, you're acting like a dick. The issue I'm having is that you're treating me like dirt because I was wrong. You didn't start after I'd given you a stat or a figure you disagreed with or disliked, you started with your first goddamn comment, and only got more unpleasant from there. If you're not being provocative on purpose, you're really, really bad at talking to people respectfully.

You make a lot of assumptions and I sincerely hope you do learn that you don't know who you're talking to and what they've done in life.

You've told me I'm on a "crusade," that I've never worked with knockoff electronics, that I'm uninformed, and a number of other things. I'm not the only person making assumptions about who I'm talking to, dude. You're the only person pettily downvoting every comment someone else made in a thread because you didn't like what they had to say, as well.

Look, dude. I've deleted the post. I was mistaken. You've been an asshole. I sincerely hope you're not going to bring this into other threads later on, not because I care about my reputation or some other broad, sweeping assumption, but because the way you've been treating me is unpleasant. Simple as that. It's one thing to take issue with what someone says, and think they're gravely misinformed. It's quite another to talk to them the way you have. I can tell you see no difference, though, and I'm not going to be the one to explain it to you.
