Quick Question: Staff Mesmer or Scepter Necro?

I have never played on a staff with a mesmer more than an hour before getting stuck inside of or under something. So usually I would unequip it, waypoint out of the wall or just log out and log back in after making the umpteenth bug report, and then wait a few weeks or months and think "Hey, maybe it's fixed now... may I can play my staff again! I really love chaos storm, and the Winds of Chaos and all, so mayb--- FUCKING DAMNIT WHY AM I IN A ROCK AGAIN?!"

In GW1, the ONLY character and class I could get to work for me was Mesmer. I was terrible at and died so many times as necro, monk, warrior, ele... and I was never fast enough or situationally aware to be a healer, etc... I loved using the combo of "Arcane Echo, Echo, Chaos Storm, Arcane Echoed-Echo, Echoed-Chaos Storm, Arcane Echoed-Echoed-Chaos Storm" two have two swirling vortexes of energy denial and pain. So I like having the ability to use skills in GW2 that remind me of GW1. And Staff is the only way, thanks to this new, far FAR more restrictive and limited skill and ability bar systems, for me to use Chaos Storm. So I do love playing with it. I remember way back when that it used to have Fear as an option, and the Staff was incredibly OP when you could fear everything away from you while you're stacking conditions, or maybe switch to a power focused Greatsword and you lazer them in the back! I do like staff on mesmer. I just have been so frustrated with playing it.

I've gotten stuck inside of walls and rocks in Labyrinthine Cliffs, the second time it came around as I had not used staff during the first, (and funny enough, my friend got stuck between two rock walls on the north border of the Cliffs map, and she was able to use a mesmer staff Phase Retreat to get OUT of the rock wall, but it's never helped me before...), inside of rocks and under the map in Caledon (multiple times because after the first change to the dailies, my friend and I would usually do our dailies for gatherer, dodger, variety, and events in Caledon because it is a very vibrantly beautiful map), during dungeon runs like in Ascalon Catacombs I've teleported through a crack in the floor that sent me falling down down down into the water below and looking up wondering where the flipping hell I ended up (This was a bit before it became common knowledge of what you see when you break under a map), And Rather recently, I was in Dry Top fighting the Colocal Queen near that rock that has the paper scrap and the assisted jump crystal to get over the rock wall to where the Frog duels people on the rock, and the Devourer queen spawns, I had my staff out testing it because a friend gave me the Kasmeer Staff skin as a gift knowing I'd wanted it a long time, and to honor it, I even invested in making Mathilde's Spire to put the skin on, and without fail, I used Phase retreat and it put me into that damn rock. And I was stuck in combat mode, too, so I couldn't waypoint out, even long after Colocal Queen was dead. So I had TWO old, annoying bugs at the same time. And it frustrated me to the point I haven't equipped the staff in a while.

My post is not one out of hatred. I love the staff. I hate the bug. My post isn't about something that happened at launch when GW2 was admittedly much more buggy than the present. It's happened rather recently in one of the two newest maps added to the game. My post saying I would not recommend staff is purely for the sake of whining about this problem I, and others, have encountered and why it may make playing with a staff on the mesmer much less enjoyable.

And hell, I remember the one time they tried to fix it by making it an invisible projectile, and people could use phase retreat with a reflect to pull the enemy TO THEM from across the map... Especially in PvP, it would be very situational, but rather odd, and never occur in PvE, but it was one way they tried to fix it, and I think they later patched it to reverse that idea. And yes, even then, I got stuck in a rock in the Queen's Pavilion while using the staff, I believe. But oh well. It seems people disagree with and/or want to just downvote my post above. shrugs
