[Quick] Trail Blazers meet for animated film session

This was big debate topic this morning on Rip City Mornings. One of the best conversations I've heard on that show..

Lillard is taking a lot of heat for "Shutting up and listening" as a leader.

I agree with the heat. I mean.. I have been a leader of team myself before. I have also been a source of the issue. The answer to being a part of the problem isn't that it's always best to shut up and listen.

You are able find creative and inspiring ways as a true leader to say "Hey all. I know I am part of the problem too. As we watch this tape and call out what we did wrong, I want you all to call out on me what I did wrong. Then we can talk about that and work towards resolution.

At the very least, embrace your failures and make overcoming them a team building exercise.

The problem with sitting silent to me is that you allow the team to run wild with the problems while not having anybody to steer the direction.

I am sorry. There are just so many ways that Lillard can step up, take responsibility as part of the problem, but still provide the leadership needed help address the problems.

This feels like a pattern of moments when Lillard should be stepping up but has used his floor performance as an excuse to step back. It really leaves the team in a "Who leads us? Who pulls us together?" sort of mentality.

Of course, this is just one idea or thought, there are numerous ways for Lillard to lead and work for self improvement.
