A quiet gas revolution in Central and Eastern Europe - ... dependence on Russia is dwindling, prices across the Continent are converging and a whole new market is emerging

Epic sarcastic remarks dude! You are soo smart lol

Yeah. What a stupid Eesti. Don't you know pipelines grow on trees?

This is so stupid I don't even know what your point is

Pipelines don't grow on trees, no one said they did. However, if you want to build one you can...

Ah yes. The Chinese are, indeed, generous people. They even let Russia pay for the pipeline, and sell its gas at discount price!

More nonsensical babble that is not relevant to anything I wrote.

The point is it is much easier to do business with a country where you can call one guy and work out a deal. As opposed to the EU where you have to try and get 28 idiots to agree, 28 idiots who couldnt even agree on the color of the sky.

Russia is a major importer of consumer goods and foodstuffs, since Russia produce so little in relative to its size

They import so much food not because they have to, but because of comparative advantage. They can buy things for cheaper from other countries than it would cost them to produce. Russia has no food security issues. In fact, they have a lot more arable land than the EU with a fraction of the population.

hence why they consider being kick out of SWIFT

Everyone would consider this a declaration of war. This is a death sentence for any countrys economy and would never be done unless the person being kicked out was essentially having war declared on them. Your misunderstanding of this things is laughable.

EU needs Russia more than the other way is funny

If this were true, Russia would not be behaving the way it is. They do so because they know there will be buyers for what they are selling. And you will be buying their gas. They don't get anything vital for them from you.

The EU is fortunate enough to diversify its economy and trade to various countries

diversify it all you want. Cannot escape the importance of oil and gas.
