I want to quit so bad and I'm terrified

I hope it helps. I've quit 3 or 4 times, always had to start up again because I use it to treat a disease - ulcerative colitis.

People will try to scare you off gabapentin but it isn't addictive if you use 3 or 4 times a week, not at all. Clonidine too, non-addictive, helps a lot.

All the women are always "tell your fiance" - ... I told my wife and all that did was make her give me a hard time for a while. I find it MUCH easier not to tell her personally. If I have minor withdrawals she would never notice so it's much easier then all that "oh my god no you're addicted!" potential female hysteria. But everybody's different.

Drop a line if you need any advice.
