Sorry to kind of hijack your thread, but I had a question about quitting my job and didn't know who to ask. I got a much better offer starting in July. I recently had a meeting with my current boss who's great, and he told me I was going to receive a significant bonus in June (I got the offer in writing). He's a good guy, but I'm young and new to the workforce and don't exactly know how these things work. I've read various articles saying that in the U.S., it is possible that your bonus can be revoked if you quit. I feel like I owe it to him to give him an early notice, but I also don't want to risk losing my bonus. Should I wait until the bonus is paid to me and then give him a much shorter notice, or should I let him know now? If anyone reading this comment I'd greatly appreciate any advice.
