r/Cuba asks exiles what it's like to visit the socialist island, exiles chime in and give sobering, depressing stories

Caloric intake - Americans eat way too much.

Cubans aren't starving unless they have kids they shouldn't have had in the first place - if you can't feed em, don't breed em.

Cuban doctors are ahead of Canadian doctors in many fields, this is according to my father's doctor friends who have worked in Cuba, and were impressed by how they are ahead of us.

The cuban doctors are greedy, and don't care for their own culture if they defect. They think the grass is greener, but they will never be able to replace the culture of cuba, and the music with the disgusting "culture" of the usa, and the usa's shitty popular music, vs. cuba's great reggaeton scene.

A hobo in Canada, does not have a computer - most of my friends in Canada cannot afford a phone you maricon. They work in the restaurant industry, and cannot afford phones.

Cubans in the restaurant industry when I was there, all had not only phones, but smartphones, and were frequently on facebook.

You are so full of misconceptions, when was the last time you visited???

A havana college student universally has a smart phone from what I have seen. I don't know what Cuba you visited.

The hobo in Canada doesn't even have a guaranteed spot at the homeless shelter - let alone access to climate controlled buildings - other than the odd library - in which they must be under tight surveillance in order to use.

A hobo in Canada varies in their experience - but they don't have enough for a house - the doctor has a house.

The hobo in Canada drinks lysol, while the doctor drinks rum.

The hobo in Canada is stigmatized from health care institutions, whereas in Cuba it would seem that they do not exclude certain patients due to their appearance, at least from what I've seen on youtube documentaries regarding crackheads in Havana.
