I think that version of the show would have Micheal Scott setting the classroom on fire after taking out a life insurance policy on almost every child attending the class. Also he staged things to look like he heroically rescued a few children, one however ends up in a coma. Than years later Micheal discovers the coma child has woken up and is threatening to reveal what really happened. But the child is willing to let things slide if Micheal shares a certain percentage of the insurance money along with murdering the child’s abusive stepdad. Micheal than realizes he has almost spent all the insurance money after misguidedly investing in novelty props startup that failed miserably and the stepdad is Todd Packer. How will Micheal get himself out of this mess.

Spoiler: After screaming at Micheal for 10 awkward painful minutes for being a fuckup, Pam calmly helps plot a scheme for Micheal to place a life insurance policy on Todd Packer and to arrange for Todd Packer to die in a car accident. Erin must help as Pam is being investigated for as a suspect for the deaths that happened last season and the last thing she needs is to be implicated in more suspicious deaths.

After several failed attempts at trying to sabotage Todd’s car. Micheal admits defeat and tries to reason with the child to save face. But on the way to the hospital, Micheal and Erin learn Todd was found dead in his car. The episode than ends and nothing further on this plot line is ever elaborated on.
