/r/headphones Purchase Help Thread (2017-09-30)

Budget: €150

Source: PC (sound card already amps it a bit, supposedly). PC drives my AKG K240 MKII (55 ohms) nicely so this shouldn't be a problem

Requirements for Isolation: None, i don't care.

Preferred type of headphones: Over-Ear, full-sized

Preferred tonal balance: Im used to my AKG K240 MKII tonal balance, good highs and mids are very important to me, i always wrinkle my nose in disgust when i hear other headphones that don't have the same highs and mids as mine. For instance, i've listened to the beats studio mixr and i really liked the bass, but the highs and mids not so much.

Past headphones: AKG K240 MKII.

Preferred Music: Rock, electronica, rap. I don't really hear too much music, I usually use my headphones for gaming, movies and online content. Some could say I should go for a gaming headset or something, but i find the sound quality unsatisfying.

What I want to improve: BASS :) . Moreover, the build quality must be at least as good as the k240's. I've used these headphones everyday for the past 6 years and the only reason im changing is because the plastic is starting to crack...

Thanks in advance, can't wait to hear what you guys have to say!
