White nationalists have no political power, no media representation, and no academic footing whatsoever. Meanwhile I can find about 10 classes at my university about how Marxism really wasn't so bad and maybe we should try it again.

The vast majority of people who get labelled "alt right" are just people who point out that Islam is violent or that blacks disproportionately commit crimes. There's no hidden agenda behind that. They're just pointing out facts that are slightly uncomfortable for some people.
