Hey guys, I would like some advice please. I'm thinking about picking up a longboard as I liked skateboard but never really got into it. It was the cruising and just skating aspect I liked, not tricks etc. This is why I think I would love a longboard. Some info about me; I am 5 ft 10 and weigh 70kg. I have no idea what longboards are good. I want a good board for a beginner. The cheaper the better, but if the price really makes that much of a difference in terms of bearings, wheels etc, I am willing to go up to £150. I know there are different decks and boards specialised for specific things. I mainly want to cruise, however due to limited places I can do that in the area it would be useful if I was able to use it around town, going on and off dropped kerbs. I pressume this means I need big wheels? I don't want some tiny dip or rock to send me flying. Just beginner anxiety I suppose haha! Is there a recommended shop / store I make my purchase? So what longboard would you guys recommend? What brands / specific models etc? I want to make sure what I'm buying is quality and not an overpriced "walmart" board. Bonus points if I can buy it on Amazon UK and extra points if it's prime. Thanks for reading!
