It's the /r/melbourne random discussion thread [Tuesday 19/12/2017]

There's a guy at my work who I consider my closest work friend, he hired me initially and then championed me into my promotion. He's one of the most positive people I've ever known and I am forever grateful for all that he's done for me. He found out his wife has been cheating on him with his best mate for the last 12 months. His best mate's wife is due to give birth in 3 weeks. I feel so gutted for him. He seemed so beaten and broken. He always talked about his wife like she was the best thing that ever happened to him. They had been "trying" to have a baby in the last few months, but that was a lie. I really don't fucking understand people. That kind of deception should eat you up inside surely. I can't quite get my head around it.
