/r/netsec's Q3 2018 Information Security Hiring Thread

PNC

Cleveland/Columbus, Ohio or Pittsburgh, PA (remote considered)

We're looking for a penetration tester to join our team at PNC. We recently had a position open up and I'd love to get someone that's a great fit. Our team performs penetration tests on web and mobile applications in addition to validation of vulnerability remediation. While we're primarily focused on applications, we are expanding our scope to include network testing as well.

An ideal candidate will have

  • Experience with testing web and mobile applications with familiarity of the usual tools
  • A background in development or the ability to read and understand code
  • A desire to work with application teams to deliver and explain test results
  • A reliable, good communicator that can manage time and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A willingness to teach and learn from other members of the team
  • Passion for learning and improving the security community

Here's a link to the job description. If you have any questions, send over a message and I'll do my best to answer them. Furthermore if you're interested, I can get your resume directly to our manager and recruiter.

Even if you're not sure about something with the posting, reach out and ask. I reached out to a hiring manager on this thread a few years back. Though I wasn't ready for that position, I did land a role with the company and it completely changed my career, leading me to the position I have now. You never know!

Additionally, you can check here and see our other postings. If something piques your interest, let me know: we're always looking for good people to join us.
