Though the general consensus on the hand of God does seem to have changed. To still be bitter about it does make you look bit of a crank - 36 years later.

Shilton is still bitter, and comes off very poorly for it. But Hoddle, for example, seems to have made his peace with it.

Even SBR took time in the years after to praise the second goal, despite being incenced with the first. Hear Shilton on the topic and he moans about Hoddle being fouled in the buildup.

Especially given the absolute kicking Maradona received consistently. Even our own WC win came in dubious circumstances. We can't have it all, it's best to move on.

As for the Saudis, I'll never ever want to see them win.
