/r/Nutrition Weekly Personal Nutrition Discussion Post - All Personal Diet Questions Go Here

So I’ve got a history of being pretty bad about eating healthy. Up until this past year (26 just a few days ago) I’ve lived off of eating garbage pretty much most of my adult life. I finally started changing my diet a bit and trying to get rid of bad habits, so I’ve been working out and drinking protein shakes, I usually add a good handful of spinach, some blueberries, peanut butter + cinnamon and a banana to them. Maybe some Oikos

Other than this, I don’t eat veggies. I just don’t enjoy them.. I mean I’ll get ‘em on a sammich but that doesn’t really count. As far as cooking them and just straight eating veggies I don’t do it, texture issues and such. Fruit I do like, I eat a banana every day for lunch when I’m at work, drink plenty of water (now) so that is good.

I’m just wondering if this is doable long term? I don’t want people to tell me to “just get over it and eat veggies” that’s the whole point of the question. Is it doable for my health/diet long term to only get them this way? I don’t cook, pretty much at all because I’m hella lazy. Making smoothies with protein shake mix has been a life saver for me health-wise.
