r/politics everybody.

You keep downvoting over hearing an opinion you dislike. Insurance isn't optional if you intend to go on living after having an accident befall you without incurring massive debt.

Your argument would make sense in a world where the insurance and healthcare industry hadn't turned into an industry of trying to extract as much as what the market can bear at the expense of those living on the poverty line since the practise made it unaffordable for them. You know that healthcare bills are crazy expensive over mundane things and I'm certain a lot of money is actually effectively wasted given that it cannot be cheap to administrate insurance in the same way that certain charities lose nearly 50% of their donations from simply running the administration of the charity. ACA and such was nothing more than providing healthcare to the most vulnerable people in society and you're effectively saying that you don't want your tax spent on that endeavour.

That's fine, you can have that opinion and people can disagree with you but you should probably just say it rather than dressing it up to be more than it is.
