r/Portland is an echo chamber

Last night an r/Portland user created a post linking a tweet showing video footage of protesters at PPB's North Precinct last night starting fires in the streets, vandalizing the property and looting the area, and the post was removed by moderators. The Problem? it was a tweet from Andy Ngo. But this isn't the first time I've seen posts being removed and that is what concerns me. The opinions on this board are clearly one sided and any other opinions are quick to be mass reported, and mass down voted. The amount of biased opinions, misinformation, lies, and propaganda on this board I've seen over the last few months is disturbing.

I feel like I have to speak up because I don't see people talking about this, confirmation bias is dangerous, silencing someone that doesn't believe in your narrative is wrong. If this board can't allow everyone to speak freely then no one should be allowed to talk about politics. Communication is the only way we can move forward, and that is what I want to see on this board. It is time to address the problem that r/Portland is an echo chamber and we need moderators that understand this.
